Video Games

The newer video game systems are so cool. For Mother's Day last year, I went and bought myself a Nintendo Wii. It is the best system I have ever had. Let me tell you, we have had a lot of systems. We are definitely partial to Nintendo. Although, we do have a PlayStation 2.

Ok. So, back to the Wii. I love the fact that we all look like total rejects while playing each and EVERY game. The controller has to be moved in order to play the games.

For Christmas we got four new games. First, we got Excite Truck. For those of you that have played ATV Off Road Fury, Excite Truck is very similar except for the fact that you have to actually move the controller to steer the trucks. So, imagine two people standing (yes, standing) side by side moving the controllers to steer. Elbows are definitely weapons.

The second game we got is Zelda Twilight Princess. For this one, you have to use the nun chuck to move the character and you have to use the motions of a sword to swing your sword. Quite interesting to watch my son swing the remote at air with his face all scrunched up trying to get some bad guy on t.v.

The third game is High School Musical Karaoke. Now, this game came with a microphone that plugs in and you can actually hear yourself through the T.V. singing along to the songs. The problem is this game is owned by a family that has absolutely NO singing ability what-so-ever and the child who requested this game as a present is 100% tone deaf. But, hey, who said you needed talent to sing in your bathrobe?

Lastly, the fourth game and MY favorite, Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party (DDR). We spent three days playing this game. Me and four of my kiddos took turns trying to pass different songs off. One song took us 2 1/2 hours to pass off. My butt cheeks hurt, my fore arms hurt, and my ankles. I love it. This game has totally won me over. The Hubby has informed me that I look like a retarded rooster while trying to dance to DDR. That's OK with me. I have informed my children that I WILL be better than them at DDR. After all, they have to go back to school on Wednesday and then it is MINE!!

I missed this post! I need to buy dance dance revolution. It sounds like fun. I wish Brandon would take a video of you looking like a rooster.
