Antibiotics

I was hoping to avoid putting the baby on antibiotics. She has already been on them 4 times in the last year and I like the body doing it's own thing.

Last night was a bad night for her. She was breathing really heavy and fast. She would only sleep if she was laying right on me. Her temperature got to 103 degrees. It was really scary. Thank God that we already had the breathing machine and meds for it or we would have had to go to the E.R.

This morning she threw up. That was it. I called the Dr. Luckily our Dr office is open on Saturdays for sick kids. Her lungs didn't sound any worse (thank goodness), so we still have to continue the treatments. But, she has a really infected ear. We got the prescription for the antibiotic.

I gave it to her at 1:00pm and by 5:00 pm she was asking for food. She hasn't wanted to eat for 3 days. That was a really good sign. She is doing really well tonight. Hopefully, within the next couple of days she will seem like her normal self again.

The youngest boy got out The Stitches today. He did really well. He just layed there. It looks really good and I think that the scarring will be almost non-existent.

The nurse that took them out was kinda shaky and a bit awkward. I watched very carefully to make sure that all went well. Next time one of my kids need stitches out, I think I will do it myself.
