Mom forced me and Paulina to go to this Saddleback church group thing last night. I don't really know what it was called but it was for teenagers. I didn't want to go AT ALL because I hate doing new things and walking into a situation where I don't know what I'm doing.
So mom, Paulina, and I get in the car to go to Saddleback which is about a 20 minute drive. We get there and get lost in the multiple parking lots (of course). We finally make our way to the tent we're supposed to be in, where we meet a 14-year-old guy and a 15-year-old girl. From what mom said, they were going to introduce us to new people and help us make our way around since it was our first time going to that church. Well, things kind of went downhill from there.
They take us to go into the tent where there is about 200 teenagers listening to this speaker. Yeah, there was a lot of people. We walked all the way down this LONG aisle until we got to these seats near the front. Only about 6 seats were open. The girl and her brother sit down and tell us we can sit in the row behind them. Paulina and I go to take the seats and of course, they're already taken by someone else.
So we go all the way back down the long aisle to the back of the tent and stand (not enough chairs) for about 10 minutes until someone finally set up some more chairs. We listened to the speaker, blah blah blah, and we were finally able to leave about an hour later. We walked outside, having no phone, and absolutely no clue where mom was. Of course something like this would happen. Paulina and I walked around for about 15 minutes, most of the time looking for the car that mom must have taken to go somewhere. Oh and not to mention it was raining.
So after walking up to random Expeditions that looked like mom's car, we finally decided to go back and walk around in the actual church area. It was pretty empty and Paulina and I thought we were going to be stranded and die of hunger. Ok, well not really. After walking around in the rain a few more minutes, we find the 14-year-old boy that was supposed to help us out walking around. I guess he'd been looking around for us in the rain, which I thought was sweet. Basically he helped us find our mom and we left. Finally.
I actually did not exaggerate this story, but I'm definitely willing to give the church a second chance. Only because all of the events that happened didn't relate to the church, but just bad luck... or something like that. So Paulina and I are going to go back to this church Saturday night next week.
I apologize for this post being extremely boring. I usually post only when I find something interesting to write about. But again, Stephanie forced me to post about it. Yes, forced me. Not to mention she told me she was going to kill me a few more times.
