As you know, for my birthday, my sisters drove 6 hours EACH way to come and see me. It was great. We even got to go shopping with none of my kids. I picked out a really cute outfit, spent more money than I should have, and had a wonderful time.
Well, Sunday my wonderful sisters tell me they are leaving. They hugged me, we waved them off, and they left.
Sunday night, Hubby decided that we needed to go out for my birthday because we couldn't do it on my birthday. I have a class on Tuesday night, so that wouldn't work. First he drives me all the way across town because he just HAS to have coffee at 5:30 pm and not just ANY coffee, he has to have coffee from a particular place. (Hubby doesn't drink coffee at night because it keeps him awake.) So, now I am starting to get suspicious. Hubby starts to ask me if I would rather eat at a different place. I say "no I want to go to my favorite place." (or one of them anyway).
After driving all over town for SPECIAL coffee and then driving to the restaurant the back way, we finally made it.
I walk into the restaurant and sitting there waiting for me are all my friends. A few minutes later, my sisters arrived. (They got lost and couldn't find the place, which happens to OCD ALOT).
We had a wonderful time, ate too much, and laughed alot. I can't believe Hubby pulled this off without me even suspecting. I was even feeling a little down that I wasn't going to get a party. (yes, I am very spoiled).
He is a good Hubby!
