We have a cat named "Kitty" because no one ever named her. She belongs to Justice, the "Student." She used to be called "Little Kitty" because there was another cat that lived with us, who has since run off, that was called "Big Kitty." We are very original at naming our pets. Now, she's just "Kitty."
Kitty loves to go outside on the back patio and play "Jungle Kitty." We don't always leave the door open, though. In the mornings, Kitty will come in to my bedroom and sit patiently on the bed and watch Tom and I sleep. As soon as we get out of bed, she races for the sliding glass door and sits patiently in front of it, waiting to be let out. We don't always oblige.
Last night, she wanted to go outside very badly. She came and sat in front of me while I was watching T.V., and stared at me intently. I knew what she wanted. So Tristan and I went to the door to take pictures of her.
First, she jumped up on Justice's piano and waited for us to open the door, but we didn't open it right away. This is Kitty in her "I'm such a good Kitty" mode.
She stares at the door intently and waits. "Good Kitty" mode only lasts a short time. She lacks patience.
No longer playing "Good Kitty", she jumps down and starts trying to get out through the small crack, hoping to make it bigger.
Of course, the crack didn't get bigger, so Kitty starts running back and forth in front of the door, no longer patient.
Now she's going into "doggy" mode. She ultimately sits up at the door and starts scratching at it.
Of course, standing up taller and scratching harder works better. Good doggy!
Yes, I finally opened the door and let her out.
What's funny is that when it is raining, Kitty doesn't even look outside to see what it is. She immediately leaps backwards away from the glass door. She's smart. She doesn't need more than a second to figure out that water is falling from the sky.
