I never do pick up pennies I find on the ground. But now I always will...
Today is monday, the first day of school after winter break. I'm expecting this day to be the third worst day of 8th grade (yes, I keep track) for many reasons:
1. I'm pretty sure that I totally failed this science test that I didn't study for at all. We receive our scores today.
2. I'm going to have to run the mile with just breakfast and 4 hours of sleep as fuel. ( Not to mention I won't allow myself to get any time over 8 minutes )
3. I'm going to have to work out this -huge- argument between my friends. It's something I have to do or life will be hard.
4. Usually on the first day back from breaks, I get a TON of homework.
5. I have soccer practice later, this first practice after a 2 week break. (No mercy there, we'll have to run ourselves to death)
It doesn't look like much when I summarize it and list it down like this. But when you're the person who has to deal with it, it is pretty stressful.
So, this is what my new lucky penny did for me:
1. I somehow managed to get an 80% on the test I thought I failed.
2. We didn't run the mile because everything was wet.
3. Ok... working out the argument between my friends was difficult, but let's just say that the end result is good.
4. Somehow I didn't get that much homework (this really is suprising).
5. Soccer practice was canceled because the feilds are soaked.
I LOVE MY LUCKY PENNY!!

I have never had luck with pennies that I have found on the ground. Maybe the trend reverses itself every other generation. This would mean that you should instruct your children, if you ever have any, NEVER to pick up a penny seen laying on the ground!
