Mother Nature is a Mad Scientist!

I can't help myself. I love Seinfeld. And hopefully you do, too... otherwise this title makes no sense.

Here's what our weekend in Monterey looked like:
Monterey fishing boat
We arrived late Friday night, after the storm that knocked out power in half the city. On Saturday, after hitting Starbucks, we wandered down to Fisherman's Wharf where the sky and water were relatively calm.

Monterey otter
Isn't he cute?

Then we wandered a bit further, and found this...

In the three years we lived in Monterey, neither Hubs nor I could recall seeing waves like these.

You wouldn't find me surfing near those rocks! Granted, I don't surf, but still...

Monterey 4
There were tons of people out to see the mighty forces of Mother Nature, and with several streets closed, maneuvering among all these people was rather difficult.

Would you like to know what causes road closures? Here are some pretty good reasons...

I think that it's funny that you go on a trip and don't tell us, or me anyway. What nice way to spend the weekend. I love the water...sigh.

Steph. You didn't bring me with you. JERK! Our relationship is over.

I have never watched a Seinfield episode in my life. Nope, not one. I am just not really a T.V. watcher.

I also think it's funny that you went out of town and didn't tell anyone. Not like you owe it to us, but you didn't even drop a comment about it.

I told the "Student".

Besides, if I had told you, you'd have forgotten.

So... yes, I did tell you! Don't you remember? Sheesh!
