Can we all just pause for a moment and take in the beauty of this photo?
Everybody needs to sit back, take a deep breath and forget all about their problems. If just for a moment.
Whether it's your job or, in my case, a faulty printer, this picture will make it all better.
It was taken this past Christmas when my kid brother, Tristan, came over to help me do some holiday baking. Unfortunately, he only made it 20 minutes before he wandered off to play video games and I was left to finish what I'd started.
But that's okay, because now I get to look back and remember how wonderful that kid is.
There are so many things I love about this picture. One, it's Christmastime, my absolute favorite holiday.
Two, the ridiculous amounts of chocolate and marshmallows are enough to make me grin from ear to ear.
But what makes my heart all warm and tingly is the absolute precision my amazing brother uses to stack those delicious chocolate candies. It might be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
Without even thinking, that ten-year-old (now eleven) found a way to combine all my favorite things. He’s a kid after my own heart, I tell ya.
