An Opposing Viewpoint

The AttorneyI have an opposing viewpoint to OCD's post on "Happy Turdsday."

I love the new work week. I'm always happy on Monday morning when it's time to get back to what I love to do. The weekends are an annoying interlude in the otherwise forward moving progess I am making on my cases.

Suddenly, it's Tuesday, Wednesday and then Thursday, and by Thursday I'm thinking, "Holy crap! I can't believe it's almost Friday! I have so much to finish!"

Of course by Friday, I'm cooked and there's no court Saturday so I don't have to worry about documents being filed or court appearances because you can't do any of that over the weekend.

In fact, if there's anything I like about the weekends it's that I can go do work at the office without phone calls or client visits, and no interruption of going to court.

So I love Mondays and Thursdays are the saddest day of the week.

If I was going back to doing something I love on Monday, I probably wouldn't have a problem with them either and I wouldn't be sad when they arrived.

However, that's not the case here. On Monday, I get to go back to a cluttered desk, where random crap has been piling up over the weekend, in a cramped office that I get to share with 8 completely different and sometimes irritating personalities, and then proceed to "help" all the whiny babies I work with.

Yeah, great! I can't wait for Monday!

God, I hope no one I work with ever reads this. (Give me a break. It's Friday and I'm ready to go home!)
