I love public displays of anger.

Is there anything better than watching two strangers yell at each other in public? I don't think so.

I went to get gas the other day, and I could tell, even before I pulled in, that it was crowded.

The thing about a crowded gas station is you're pretty much stuck in whichever line you choose to wait in. It's not exactly easy to maneuver your car to the next available spot, shouting with injustice that you were here first. Although it would be fun to watch.

But today, I was lucky. The car in front of me finished almost as soon as I pulled in and I was able to glide right up. Frustrating for the people on the other side, I'm sure.

As my tank filled, I could see another car on the opposite side awkwardly backing up to another pump. It was a tight space and I'm not sure why he chose to do it as he barely made it in without hitting the bright yellow corvette he passed.

As soon as he was parked, Bright Yellow Corvette was now trapped due to the awkward angle of the guy's car and the car behind her waiting for her to finish.

Then I saw her window roll down. I couldn't hear what Bright Yellow Corvette said to the guy, but everyone could hear his side of the conversation.

It went something like this:

"What? You've got plenty of room." (Pause) "What did you just say? Don't talk to me with disrespect!" (Pause) Then loudly, "Don't scratch your car on the way out, bitch!"

I almost felt bad for Bright Yellow Corvette, because he really had effectively trapped her in.

But then I watched her try to back out and it hit me that she had no idea how to handle her vehicle. It was painful to watch. Two other people had to move their cars for her to get by and at one point she made an 86-point turn.

It was fantastic.
